Father Kevin J. Beres, pastor of St. Peter Church in Washington, Va., celebrated his Silver Jubilee June 10. In honor of his 25th Anniversary of Ordination to the Holy Priesthood, the parish held a BBQ Party on June 8, Pentecost Sunday.
Parishioners presented many gifts to Fr. Beres. Perhaps the most meaningful were the Spiritual Bouquet cards offering Masses, Rosaries, and prayers. Each of them demonstrated, in an individual way, how important Father’s priesthood is for the spiritual life of the parish.
Various organizations, including the Ministry of Mercy and Knights of Columbus Council 14755, organized the event and contributed resources to make it a success.

The main courses for the BBQ were provided by CJ’s Western BBQ, and many parishioners provided side dishes and desserts.
