Dear People of Saint Peter’s:
As you all know the coronavirus is on everyone’s mind. Our bishop has just sent out directives to help prevent the spread of the virus. Two points, in particular, affect our parish. First, the holy water fonts have been emptied. Secondly, the pastors have been reminded of our ability under canon law to dispense our parishioners from the obligation to Sunday Mass. In light of the danger of the virus spreading, I will grant this quite liberally. All you have to do is email at this address or you can text or call me at 571-249-5817. I especially wish to extend this offer to those who are more senior in our parish and those who have other health issues that might make them more susceptible to the virus. Let us all pray to God and the Blessed Virgin Mary that this passes over us. God bless.
