The Solemnity of Corpus Christi is for St. Peter Catholic Church what Memorial Day is for America. This Feast reminds us of all that Jesus Christ has given for the faithful. And at the same time, this day marks the arrival of Summer at St. Peter’s with a gala picnic hosted by the Knights of Columbus.

Keeping in mind that the Solemnity is the reason for the celebration, here are important words from our Pastor, Fr. Beres and some pictures of the procession.

We believe of God that He is all truth and can neither deceive nor be deceived. Thus when the Word of God in the flesh declares bread to be His body and wine to be His blood the only response for those who believe is to fall down in worship. May our faith and trust in God grow deeper through the Holy Eucharist!
God Bless!
-Fr. Beres

Thanks to the organizational and planning skills of Executive Chef Tom Junk, the associate chefs were able to prepare one of the finest feasts ever. Our Worthy Grand Knight Dave Riedel joined the chefs while they were cooking and showered them with praise. Meanwhile, many of the ladies were arranging side dishes and desserts. This year, everything looked so much better because of the new tablecloths they purchased.

Father Beres was ordained on June 10th, 2000. The parish took this opportunity to celebrate his 23rd anniversary of ordination.

With everything in place, it was now time to enjoy the food and the wonderful day God had given us. Everyone was there including Deacon Benyo and Fr. Reinders. – A good time was had by all!
