Once again, Brother Jeff Knight led the effort we call the Cemetery of the Innocents – 3,000 small white flags with a very big message. In years past, weather and other circumstances conspired to make placement of the flags a very time consuming and difficult task. But on January 16th this year, the weather was beautiful and inviting. More importantly, there is a renewed spirit of volunteerism and dedication to the pro-life, pro-family mission of our Council and St. Peter’s Catholic Church. That explains why at least fourteen Knights and other parishioners showed up for the event. – A new record was set. Instead of hours or even days, all 3,000 flags were in place in just about 45 minutes!

A highlight of the day was when Fr. Reinders joined us for the event. After all work was completed, he provided a blessing for us and our labors. – Now, it’s time to pray for the unborn and to urge all in our community to do the same.

Here’s a visual recap of the day.
